The Entertainer (running time 20min)

What does a performer without an audience do? This has been the central theme of a work that was initially devised to reference the magic of past entertainers that have graced the stage. Now in a time when the entertainers role seems in question, yet more necessary than ever before, looking back to past entertainers who brought relief to their audiences through escapism and humor becomes a whole new exploration for the role of art as relief in challenging times.

The creation of this work has been made possible by a creative residency at Dance Victoria in 2019 and a presentation in progress at Kinetic Studio Series in November 2020.
